* long Twilight rant ahead *
Fine. I am guilty of fake silent squealing and beating up Audrey because she did the same. Yes, I was closing my mouth to prevent muffled laughter when the acting was a little too stiff. When Edward was getting to know Bella, it was torture for me. I am truly sorry, Robert Pattinson, but my imaginary Edward Cullen does a far better job than you. :'( Imaginary Edward disappeared because of my frenzied Youtube searches for sneek peaks and trailers. I did enjoy the decent looking Charlie compared to the older, beer-bellied dad who I was expecting. Carlisle looked blonde, young and well, he looked like the head honcho of the Cullen clan all right. :) His appearances were rare, if you count out the transformation processes. Ahem. Ahem. Jacob Black was a turn-off. Seriously. The female cast was not too bad either. Rosalie was... The anti-Bella she was supposed to be. Sheesh. The way she treaded around in those platforms after smashing the poor bowl, portrayed very well. I could feel the intense dislike coming from her, so it worked. Alice, with her pixie looks also got the A-Okay. Once again, rare appearances. Jasper, I quote Shu Fei, looked CONSTIPATED. Ahahahaha. That guy was as stiff as a wooden plank. XD Bella, despite the problem of her I-MIGHT-sorta-die-if-Edward-left-me and awkwardness, was the book's Bella all right. Edward. Wahahaha. His lips were dark-red and his shining moment in the sun reminded me of super sparkly glitter which comes in tubes.
Back to the movie itself. From a reader's point of view, the story was too fast at some points and slow at some unnecessary times. Yeah. They made couple time (some lip-to-lip action was censored) over time. I have mutual feelings towards the tree-climbing and Edward's skin in the sun. I was disappointed with the SFX. I did enjoy Charlie's presence in between though. :) The baseball game was interesting, showcasing the Cullens and actually allowing us to see the rest of the vamps in action. The action sequences in the ballet studio, where Edward does his 'Matrix somersault', bouncing from the mirror into James. Oo-kay. -_-" So, it was a little low on the stunts. I get that. I did enjoy the last part though, where Edward and Bella go to prom. Aww... How sweet. XD Yeah. I am a sucker for couples and the little romance in between. Despite the movie being filled with awkward moments, it was 5/10. Am I a Twilight buff? Where is my slightly-better-than-none impartiality? My brain imagined moments in the book while I took in the movie at the same time. Double dose, I tell you. @.@ I had set my expectations to the lowest, but it was not that bad. All I can say is, the book
Looking Familiar:

Ava (Grey's Anatomy)
Her appearance was a surprise because 1) she used to be on Grey's (OMG... It's Ava the Jane Doe!) and 2) she does not depict Esme that well because my imaginary Esme has better hair. XD Weird, it was. Yoda-speak. VKG Ep. 9 RAW is OUT!! Awaiting the subbed version.
