Hitting A Hundred
Friday, 28 November 2008
Wow. I have officially yet barely skimmed the surface of blogging. :) My hundredth post. I spent the whole of yesterday at home, from waking up to horrible news of the attacks at Mumbai to this very moment. I even made an initiative to clear up my books. Yes, I broke my own promise and that is despicable in every way. I also discovered that we actually have to pay next year's school fees before or on next Monday and my go-to person for cheques is overseas till this Sunday. -_-" Thanks to my irresponsibility, I have to suffer the consequences. For now, I am quite worried. Geez. HOUSE EPISODE 9 WAS AMAZING! I even dreamt of meeting my favourite actor / idol, Hugh Laurie (idol = Dr. Gregory House) in person last night. Not only was I incredibly shocked, I even quivered as I took a picture with him using my phone. XD Just when I was about to hug him to see for real (darn was he tall), I woke up and was a little miffed. Oh well, it was a good dream nonetheless. :/ Bleh. I didn't even get to keep the picture.

Today, I followed my mother to a demonstration for a kitchen appliance at her friends' house. While having lunch and waiting for the demonstrator, they chatted. A lot. Being the only young 'un there, not too bad, it was interesting to listen to grown-up talk. From politics to social to education to news to stocks to health, they certainly covered nearly all aspects. Then the real stuff, the Magimix demonstration. The machine is basically a great food processor, your little kitchen helper. :) I sound like I am selling the machine itself. But seriously, it can slice your shallots or any other vegetable (carrot, cucumber, radish etc.) into these perfect slices or thin shreds which are better than enduring a fresh bout of tears or having your maid slice them unevenly and at a slow pace too. It is also a juicer and mixer. A GREAT machine! Apparently, my mother asked my uncle to buy it for us from London and ours is the LIMITED EDITION compact size. :D Yippee! Mine even has a chip-cutter. Yes. To cut out potato chips just by a button. I can just imagine them sizzling. Thick-cut french fries coming out golden, crispy on the outside and heavenly inside. XD Did I mention that I am quite a fan of kitchen appliances and other kitchenware, such as frying pans, whisks, containers and small kitchen gadgetry which make life easier. :P What can I say? They interest me. I once bought this food-scraping tool which is like a baking spatula, but more compact and flexible. Now, we use it while making kaya and it works wonders. That day at Ikea's kitchen section, I was wondering around and their new range of non-stick frying pans are really nice but with the price to match. Aww... I wanted to buy that square, grill pan but it was a little pricey. :( I also buy the unnecessary, but that is for another day. Haha.

I just wanted to share this interesting video. Edward Cullen, you don't need to be that smug.

Sanity Lies
In my world, Vampire Knight, Heroes and House are required for me to get my weekly dose of hype. I still fawn over anime characters even if they will never come alive. Never take your fansubs or scanlators for granted. :)
